Goodness, Where Did That Come From? Beaconsfield Canyon, Saturday, July 31, 2011.

Someone recently went to rather a lot of effort to run this pipe — actually, a network of pipes, as we’ll see in a moment — a hundred or more meters down the hill and smack into the creek. Karen asked if I might take a look and see where it originated, so… here we go!

Shall have stills here too, once Flickr is through uploading them. Which means in the morning!  The still photos also provide better views of the two houses, which are the ones immediately east of the chicken- and bee-keeper’s place.

Okay, here they are:

For photos of the volunteer workday that I was playing hooky from to do this bit of sleuthing, see the adjoining post.  They feel like different sorts of things so I am posting them separately.

Wow … right into the creek. Did anyone convince them to try
a rain barrel instead? :) What was the outcome of your investigation?

    • Hi Beth! As of the subsequent Beaconsfield workday, sadly, no… the pipe was still in the creek. A neighbor a few doors down may be paying them a friendly visit soon, however, and I think a rain barrel may be one of the options mentioned. Will definitely post an update when there is news!
