Kiosk Checkdams in the Rain, Redwood Regional Park

All the pulling of broom and vinca, digging out of sediment from behind the dams, and planting of new natives made for a fun, lively day on January 9 (see two posts below), but the proof of the pudding is in the eating, as they say.  And all the hard work that people have put into this project over the past year seems to be paying off, as this really does appear to be turning into a naturalized watercourse.  With plenty of work still to do upstream, of course!
